About this periodic table & high-purity materials reference

This site is a free reference on the chemical elements and on high-purity materials. It combines an interactive periodic table covering all 118 elements with in-depth guides on the materials we know best: copper powder and nickel wire.

The element pages give atomic number, standard atomic weight, electron configuration, density, melting and boiling points, electronegativity, common oxidation states and the year of discovery. The material guides go one level deeper and explain what each purity grade — from 2N to 7N — actually means, which trace elements limit it and where it is used in practice.

Accuracy

Element data follows commonly published IUPAC values; purity-grade figures are typical industry values, not a specification for any particular lot. If you spot an error, tell us and we will correct it.

Business to business only — how we handle inquiries

1. 1.We are a filtering company, not a broker. The material is held under custody by the operating company we work with.
2. 2.Inquiries start in writing. There is no phone desk at intake, so nothing is lost and nothing is rushed.
3. 3.We screen every inquiry: business to business only. Incomplete or irrelevant requests are not forwarded — too many frauds, too much wasted time.
4. 4.Relevant inquiries are forwarded direct to direct to the operating company holding the material. No brokers, no intermediaries.
5. 5.Once an inquiry passes screening and is of interest, we call you directly to take it forward. A written reply normally follows within one business day.
6. 6.We are deliberately selective: a handful of serious B2B inquiries matters more to us than volume.

Stock, storage and documentation

The material we reference is held in bonded, customs-supervised storage at Zurich Airport, duty and VAT unpaid while in bond, with access by appointment. Every lot is backed by a complete documentation package: a non-negotiable safekeeping receipt and custody confirmation issued jointly with a bank and an independent inspection body, a lot-specific certificate of analysis from an independent laboratory, safety data sheets and customs documentation. These documents are not published and are not sent at first contact — once your inquiry passes screening, they are shared directly, company to company, under confidentiality.
